1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SuperDimmer ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Software.

2. License

2.1 Free Tier

SuperDimmer offers a free tier that provides basic screen dimming functionality. The free tier is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

2.2 Pro License

Pro licenses are purchased as a one-time payment and grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Pro features of SuperDimmer on macOS devices you own or control.

2.3 License Restrictions

• You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
• You may not redistribute, sublicense, or sell the Software
• You may not use the Software for any illegal purpose
• You may not remove or alter any copyright notices or proprietary markings

3. Permissions and System Access

SuperDimmer requires certain system permissions to function:

• Screen Recording: Required for intelligent brightness detection. We do not record, store, or transmit screen content.
• Location Services: Optional, used only for sunrise/sunset calculations for color temperature scheduling.
• Automation/AppleEvents: Required for wallpaper switching features.

You may revoke these permissions at any time through System Settings, though this may limit functionality.

4. Privacy

Your use of SuperDimmer is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect and use your information.

5. Refunds

Pro license purchases are eligible for a full refund within 30 days of purchase if you are not satisfied with the Software. See our Refund Policy for details.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

7. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL SUPERDIMMER OR ITS DEVELOPERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

8. Updates and Modifications

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Software at any time. We may release updates that add features, fix bugs, or change functionality. You are not required to install updates, though some features may require the latest version.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Software immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Software will cease immediately.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SuperDimmer operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website. Your continued use of the Software after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
